Our history
A bit of background
The Swarthmore Community Center
The Park Avenue Community Center began in the 1970s as the Swarthmore Community Center.
Re-envisioned as the PAC Center
In 2022, it was re-envisioned as the Park Avenue Community Center, located in the Swarthmore United Methodist Church — a central point in the borough.
Merged with The Creative Living Room
In August 2025, The Creative Living Room merged with the PAC Center, becoming an integral part of its mission to create a vibrant intergenerational hub for the arts and ideas.

The Creative Living Room
The Creative Living Room merged with the PAC Center in August 2025, becoming an integral part of its mission to create a vibrant intergenerational hub that uses the arts and ideas to enrich, enlighten, and change lives.
Founded in 2008, TCLR was a nonprofit arts education organization that offered classes, camps, workshops, and community events that invited children and families opportunities to explore creativity and self-expression, led by professional teaching artists.
