Description:

Discover the profound benefits of Yin Yoga. Unlike more active yoga styles that focus on strengthening muscles, Yin Yoga gently targets the body’s deeper connective tissues—including fascia, ligaments, tendons, and joint capsules. Each posture is supported and held for three to five minutes, allowing the body to soften rather than stretch through force.

During these sustained holds, gentle stress encourages healthy remodeling of the fascia, the body’s interconnected web of connective tissue. Hydration and movement within the fascial system are supported by hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance that helps tissues glide smoothly over one another. Remaining still in Yin Yoga allows this hyaluronic acid to redistribute throughout the fascial layers, helping reduce stiffness, improve tissue hydration, and enhance ease of movement.

Yin Yoga also offers an opportunity to practice stillness. As the body softens, the mind often follows. The extended holds invite you to observe sensations without judgment, creating space to release physical tension, calm the nervous system, and cultivate greater self-awareness.

This class is appropriate for all experience levels. Props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks are used to fully support the body, allowing each posture to be both safe and restorative. Whether you are an athlete seeking recovery, someone managing stress, or simply looking for a slower, more meditative practice, Yin Yoga provides a powerful pathway toward greater mobility, resilience, and inner calm.
